Tuukka Rask notched his first shutout of the season against Arizona, making 24 saves. It's not as if he was facing an especially high quality of shots or anything, but it's nice to see him back in 2014-15 form. His current save percentage is still bad, but he could be improving
Krejci With Two Goals
In more news, David Krejci scored two goals against Arizona - the first of which got the Bruins on the board, while the second was icing on the cake - a goal that made the score 6-0 with a 44 seconds left.
For his first goal, Krejci seized the puck in the neutral zone and created a two-on-one with Brett Connolly. After faking a pass, Krejci went in on Mike Smith and flicked the puck by him to make it
1-0.
The second goal came when the game was well in hand. Jimmy Hayes won a race for the puck against Oliver Ekman-Larsson and tapped the puck to Krejci on his backhand. Krejci snapped a one-timer past a dejected Smith to make it 6-0.
Hayes with a Three-Point Effort
Jimmy Hayes scored a goal and assisted on two more. After Ryan Spooner fanned on a Matt Beleskey pass, Spooner rattled off a sharp-angle shot near the goal line. Smith easily made the initial save, but Hayes whacked the rebound in. Hayes also assisted on a Marchand power-play goal and Krejci's second goal of the game.
Mike Smith Coming Down to Earth
Mike Smith had a hot start to the season, starting with an incredible .981 save percentage in his first three games. But since then, he's gone 1-3-1 with an .861 save percentage, and it's finally showing in his overall stats. The fact that he hasn't posted a Quality Start in six games is pretty disastrous for this year's Arizona team, which may have to face the fact that Mike Smith might not be a legitimate starting goalie.

THREE STARS OF THE BRUINS
- David Krejci - Two goals has Krejci in the top spot here.
- Jimmy Hayes - One goal, two assists means that Hayes contributed on half of the Bruins' six goals.
- Matt Beleskey - Beleskey chipped in with two assists and was the catalyst of the play on both Jimmy Hayes's fourth goal of the season and Joe Morrow's second goal of his career.
