Yesterday, the Bruins announced that they had signed defenseman Brandon Carlo to an entry-level contract (details of the contract are unknown).
Carlo is a steady, mobile defender who hails from Colorado Springs and has represented his country in the World U20 Championships in 2015 and the Ivan Hlinka tourney the year before that. His main strength is his skating, which makes it hard for opponents to get past him on defense and significantly boosts his offensive capabilities.
Carlo scored four goals and 21 assists in 63 games for the Tri-City Americans in the WHL and scored 38 points in 134 games. He also scored a goal in three preseason games for the Bruins so far.
